Measurements were made of the resistance to air flow of commercially available porous materials. Three general types of porous media were tested- granular (sintered metals), fibrous (felt cloths and filter papers), and perforated. The flow-resistance characteristics of the porous materials tested are presented in a form intended to assist in the selection of materials for applications to boundary-layer control using area suction
